The Slovakian autumn athletics season will have its climax on Saturday and Sunday with Athletics Brigde, two EAA meetings in central Slovakia in Banska Bystrica today, and Dubnica on Sunday (12 Sep).

The absolute highlight will be the appearance of legendary Javelin thrower Jan Zelezny in Dubnica (where his wife was born) on Sunday.

It will be the World recordholder's first competition in Slovakia since 1995! At that time he won the famous Bratislava Grand Prix meeting with 90.50. He is returning after 9 years.

"I wanted to come back for some time. As the organisers of Dubnica approached me along time ago I was able to plan it carefully. I can check my shape and do something to thank the public,“ said the newly elected member of IOC Athletes Commission.
