The arrest today of distance running coach Jama Aden follows a lengthy investigation by the IAAF which began in 2013, working in close cooperation with Interpol, the Spanish authorities including the Spanish National Anti-Doping Agency (AEPSAD), Spanish police and other organisations.
The IAAF will use all available resources and powers to protect clean athletes and the integrity of our sport. This includes targeting and investigating individuals and coaches who are intent on exploiting athletes and promoting the use of prohibited substances.
The IAAF will not be making further comment on the ongoing investigation.

L’arrestation aujourd’hui de l’entraîneur de coureurs de fond, Jama Aden, résulte d’une longue investigation de l’IAAF qui a débuté en 2013, en collaboration rapprochée avec Interpol, les autorités espagnoles, dont l’Agence nationale espagnole pour la lutte contre le dopage (AEPSAD), la police espagnole ainsi que d’autres organismes.
L’IAAF s’attache à faire appel à toutes les ressources et à tous les pouvoirs à sa disposition afin de protéger les athlètes propres et l’intégrité de notre sport. Parmi ces mesures sont notamment le ciblage et l’investigation d’individus et d’entraîneurs qui s’attachent à exploiter les athlètes et à promouvoir l’usage de substances interdites.
L’IAAF ne fera aucun commentaire supplémentaire tant que l’investigation suit son cours.
