Anguilla’s Zharnel Hughes and USA’s Trentavis Friday are set do battle for the gold, with Friday looking to become just the third American to win the title and the first one since 1988.
Both have run faster than 20.40 twice this season, with Hughes leading the 2014 list with 20.32.
Jamaica’s Jevaughn Minzie (20.37) and 2013 IAAF World Youth Championships gold medallist Michael O'Hara (20.50) could be in the mix for the medals, as well as Kendal Williams (20.55) from the host country.
