Ukraine’s Alona Shamotina is the leading junior women’s hammer thrower of 2014 with the top two marks and a third in the top ten, her 68.43m throw well away from the rest.

At 67.32m, however, Hungary’s world youth champion Reka Gyuratz is no slouch; she has four of the top ten marks this year, and is also entered in the discus.

Elana Korosidou of Greece also has two marks in the top ten, the best a 65.34m effort that makes her the third best this year.
