Norway’s world youth champion Karsten Warholm ran a massive personal best of 10.55 to move into the lead with 963 points.

His time is the second-fastest ever run by a decathlete in the history of the IAAF World Junior Championships and an improvement of 0.26 on his previous best.

US junior champion Harrison Williams stands in second place with 917 points thanks to his 10.77 run, another personal best. Australia’s Cedric Dubler also ran a lifetime best of 10.80 and ranks third with 906 points.

Czech Jiri Sykora, the 2014 world junior leader, is currently in seventh position with 878 points after his 10.92 effort.
