Dubai Marathon – Victory for Wilson Kibet and Albina Ivanova

Wilson Kibet today won the Dubai Marathon for the third consecutive year. The women’s race was won by the 19-year-old Russian athlete Albina Ivanova.

Kibet finished ahead of two other Kenyans, David Mutua and William Musyoki, completing the marathon course in 2:13:04, 32 seconds faster than his performance over the same course in 2001.

In the women’s race, Ivanova was an easy winner ahead of Abebe Tola (ETH) and Irina Bogocheva of Kazakhstan.
