Event report men hammer throw qualification

Balazs Kiss (Hungary) showed best form in the hammer qualification with 80.46. Biggest upset was that Andrey Abduvaliyev of Uzbekistan (82.66 this year) was unable to get through to the final with 74.96. There were X others to break the qualification standard 76.50. Belarussian Igor Astapkovich 77.96, Russian Vasiliy Sidorenko 77.94, Ukrainian Andrey Skvaruk 77.94, German Heinz Weis 77.12. Japanese Kori Murofushi was the last one to go forward with 75.28. Other expected finalists who didn't make it, were Vadim Kolesnik of Ukraine (75.16), Enrico Sgrulletti of Italy (74.70) and Aleksandr Krasko of Belarus (70.84). Eduardo Acuna (Peru) broke the National Record with his 60.14.
