Brown Trafton leaves some important room in her luggage

Olympic Discus Throw champion Stephanie Brown Trafton’s face is becoming increasingly well known in the USA, and as she reflects in her latest Diary she's a hot find for most trading card collectors.

“I am working very hard right now in preparation for Berlin.  This time of year it can be difficult to stay focused and stay healthy as over training is common.  I am going to take a day off and go to the spa for some much needed relaxation before I leave.”

“We have seen the trading cards that were produced by Topps Inc. last month and I have been receiving requests to sign the baseball card sized vintage editions.  It makes my husband happy to know that he can collect a trading card with my picture on it and save it for our future kids.  I had no idea that the trading card fanatics would be interested in mine but it seems like they are really hot right now.” 

“I am already looking forward to the Diamond League in 2010.  There are still a few issues that need to be worked out with logistics but as soon as they can complete a schedule I will be able to plan my travel for my first ‘World Tour’.”

“I plan on taking only carry-on luggage to the world championships but I will leave room to bring home a world championship medal in my suitcase, just in case!”
