It was a busy month for Samsung Diamond League Ambassador Allyson Felix, both on and off the track. Ahead of her 200m race at Friday's Meeting Areva - Samsung Diamond League in Paris on Friday (16 July), she won the 100m at the US championships, and took the 400m at the Prefontaine Classic. And that was after being sworn into the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition at a ceremony where she met US First Lady Michelle Obama.

"Bonjour!

"I'm in Paris right now preparing to run the 200m in Friday's Samsung Diamond League meet. I haven't ran a 200m here since my first outdoor World Championships in 2003. This is definitely a special place for me so I'm very excited to compete here again.  I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season and hoping to have strong performances."??

"I ran the 400m in my last race at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Ore. I always have a good time running at Pre. The fans are great because they love track and field and are really knowledgeable about the sport. The energy and excitement of the fans always helps me to perform.??"

"It was a busy weekend at the USA Track & Field National Championships in Des Moines two weeks ago. I was sworn into the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition in Washington D.C. and then flew to Iowa to compete in the meet the next day."

"It is such an honor for me to be a member of the council and I am so excited about all of the things we hope to accomplish.  At the ceremony it was great to be among fellow members and the First Lady, Michelle Obama, who is very passionate about our cause. More information on the council can be found at www.fitness.gov."
