Algerian Cross Country – bulk of World Cross team earns selection

The 43rd Algerian Cross Country Championships which were held yesterday (Thursday 24 Feb) witnessed the demise of Ali Saidi-Sief who pulled out some 600m from the finish of the short race, but this allowed Aggoun Khoudir to obtain a remarkable long and short race double at the championships.

The first four finishers in each race have qualified for the national team for next month’s World Cross Country Championships with the remaining two team places at each distance left at the discretion of the Algerian Federation.
