Boys Discus Throw Final

sided Boys Discus final, favourite and World leader Ukraine's Mykyta Nesterenko easily won his first World Youth title on Saturday.

Nesterenko, who entered the Championships with the two best throws – 71.95m and 67.85m, threw what was necessary – 68.54 metres to win the gold medal.

Born April 14, 1991, Nesterenko, who threw 70.67m in the preliminary round, now has the top four distances of the year.
Nesterenko, who in June, threw the 1kg discus 81.22m, also had other throws of 65.54m, 65.14m, 63.81m and 52.45m to be the most consistent thrower.

Four personal best were achieved in the final – Croatia's Marin Premeru (64.20m) for silver and Lithuania's Andrius Gudzius (61.59m) for bronze.

Two other athletes, United States' Sean Tabor (59.07m) and Pyry Niskala of Finland (56.97m) achieved personal best distances in the final, which lasted for 66 minutes.
