Carl Lewis
The following is a statement from David Greifinger, Attorney for Carl Lewis, regarding media reports that Carl Lewis has arthritis and is in pain:
"It has come to our attention that certain media outlets have published a story that Carl Lewis, winner of nine Olympic gold medals, suffers from arthritis, and is in pain.
"This story is completely fabricated. Carl is in perfect health, and continues to train vigorously every day to maintain his fitness. He works hard in the weight room and runs several times a week.
"Carl is enjoying his retirement from track & field (though he performed the long jump in a recently released General Motors commercial)."
