Women’s World 5000m champion Tirunesh Dibaba of Ethiopia is aiming to retain her title when competing in Great Britain's top cross country meeting in Edinburgh, Scotland on 15 January 2005.
The Ethiopian stormed to victory at this year's race held in Newcastle and is returning for the View From international event - IAAF permit - which has moved across the Scottish border in 2005.
It promises to be another superb race with Dibaba going head-to-head with Australia's reigning World Cross Country champion Benita Johnson.
Britain's Hayley Yelling, winner of last Sunday's European Cross Country title which went to the wire before she scored a thrilling success, is also in the line-up.
"It's always our policy to invite previous champions to return and I'm delighted Dibaba will be back," said race athletics director Matthew Turnbull.
