Gold MedallistAllyson FELIX, USA
"Coming off the curve I was a little bit worried because I realised that Christine (ARRON) and Veronica (CAMPBELL) had started very fast. But I tried to give all that I had, and I knew that I usually am strong in the end. I've been working on that with my coach Bobby KERSEE."

"It feels very good to be the World Champion. That was my goal here. I still have the relays to go."

"I was in the call room during the men's 4x100m, and I could not believe that the US team dropped the baton. But these things happen and I was just trying to focus on my race."

Silver Medallist - Rachelle BOONE-SMITH, USA
"It was an awesome race. We changed some things in my running with my coach and it paid off. Allyson (FELIX) ran an exellent race. I am just happy I got silver. I was executing my own race and didn't realise I was second until they showed my name on the scoreboard."

"This is unbelievable. In the beginning of the week I could hardly walk because I had a sudden ache in my left ankle."

Bronze Medallist - Christine ARRON, FRA
"This is my second medal at these Championships, so I am not disappointed. I feel I could have done better because I was a little tired at the end, but I still ran a seaons's best."

"Allyson FELIX ran well, she was not as tired as me, because she did not run the 100m. Coming off the curve I was not surprised to be ahead, instead I tried to focus on winning. I told myself to give it all, even though I could feel my leg towards the end. It was difficult in the middle with girls on both sides, so I just tried to outlean them."

"I know I will leave these championships with at least two medals, so I am very much satisfied."

4th - Veronica CAMPBELL, JAM
"I ran a really good curve and then coming into the straight I just do not know what happened. The energy was there but then I realized I was over in the wrong lane and that drew all my attention away and messed up my rhythm. It was not the nervousness, because I am always nervous before a competition, if I was not nervous that would be bad because it would mean I do not care about the result."
