I used to be a sprinter until last year but then a coach approached me and told me I would be good in race walking. I didn't know anything about this sport and had to start from scratch. I am very happy with my medal and time. I had to be tested for the H1N1 virus before departure and spent 8 days in Barelona in order to get ready for this race. I am a fan of Agnacio Zamudio who finished sixth in the 50km Race Walk at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
