Liu Xiang, China's 2004 Olympic champion and former World record holder in the 110m Hurdles, will he among the headliners at the 6th PSD Bank Meeting in Dusseldorf on 11 February.

The Chinese superstar's appearance in the 60m Hurdles will be his first in Europe since the 27-year-old captured the World indoor 60m Hurdles title in Valencia in March 2008. Injuries has marred Liu's career since, most notably with his dramatic withdrawal from the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. He raced sparingly in the waning months of 2009, returned to action indoors in 2010 to reach the final at the World Indoor Championships in Doha, but raced just once outdoors that spring before taking another extended break.

However he returned to action with a bang in November, taking the Asian Games title in Guangzhou where he clocked 13.09 to end the season as the third fastest high hurdler outdoors.

Liu last appeared in Dusseldorf in 2007, where he was victorious in 7.53.

Lui joins Christian Cantwell and Lolo Jones, the reigning World indoor championships in the Shot Put and 60m Hurdles, respectively, who were previously announced, in the Dusseldorf fields.

Eurosport will broadcast two hours live from the capital of North-Rhine Westphalia on 11 February between 19:30 and 21:30 CET.
