Men Long Jump Final

Gold MedallistPEDROSO, Ivan (CUB)
"This is my third world title and to secure this gold was the most important thing for me, the distance did not matter to me. I felt some pressure from Lamela (ESP)but after I jumped over 8.50 I was certain that would be enough for gold".
Bronze Medallist - CANKAR, Gregor (SLO)
"It was an excellent competition because the conditions were so good with the wind coming from behind us. A great help. I did have a last jump of about 8.50 but unfortunately it was a foul."
Silver Medallist - LAMELA Yago (ESP)
"To get the silver in the best competition of the year is special. Maybe in the future I will be in even better condition and win the gold. I'm young and have much to learn technically and so I know I can jump further".
