Seminar on Womens Athletics will be highlight of week of activity in Granada
26 October, 1998 Monaco - The organisation of next years international athletics calendar will be the objective of the 6th IAAF World Calendar Conference which takes place at the Hotel Gran Luna in Spain between 28 October - 1 November. The historic Andalusian city will also be the venue of a fascinating Seminar, organised by the International Athletic Foundation, entitled From a Great Past to an Even Brighter Future - Womens Athletics on the Eve of the New Millennium, which takes place on October 31 and November 1. Among the themes examined will be:

Commercial Forces, Marketing, Media and their effect on Womens Athletics
The Future Evolution of Athletics and its Impact on Women
Among the 18 experts assembled from around the world for this Seminar are Fiona May (ITA), 1995 long jump World Champion, Grace Jackson (JAM), 1988 Olympic silver medallist at 200m, Nawal El Moutawakel (MAR), 1984 Olympic Champion at 400m hurdles and IAAF Council Member, Abby Hoffman (CAN), IAAF Council Member, Lu Shengrong (CHN), IOC Member and President of the International Badminton Federation, Pat Rico (USA) President of USA Track & Field, and Christiane Ayotte (CAN), Head of the IOC Accredited Anti-Doping Laboratory in Montreal.
