Having received all necessary guarantees and based on an evaluation site visit, the Council of the European Athletic Association meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland this weekend (9/10 October) approved Florence, Italy, as the host of the SPAR European Cup 2005 to be held on 18/19 June.
It will be the second time that the best eight European national teams men and women will compete in Tuscany. In 2003 the SPAR European Cup was the inaugurating event for the newly constructed stadium Luigi Ridolfi.
