The IAAF has noted a number of grave allegations regarding doping activities related to the sport of athletics in Russia, which have been broadcast on the German TV channel ZDF/ARD on 3 December 2014.
An investigation by the IAAF Ethics Commission is already ongoing with respect to some of the allegations made in the documentary.
We would like to underline that the IAAF Ethics Commission is completely independent of the IAAF and has full powers to investigate and issue sanctions when relevant.
A transcript in English of the German TV documentary has been forwarded to the Ethics Commission.
With regard to matters revealed in the documentary related to anti-doping and, therefore outside the scope of the Ethics Commission, these will be studied carefully and dealt with according to the relevant IAAF rules and in full co-operation with WADA.

Réaction de l’IAAF au documentaire de la chaine allemande
Monaco - L'IAAF a pris note d’un certain nombre d'allégations graves concernant des activités de dopage au sein de l’athlétisme en Russie, diffusées le 3 décembre 2014, sur la chaine de télévision allemande ZDF/ARD.
Une enquête est actuellement en cours menée par la Commission d'éthique de l'IAAF concernant des allégations faites dans le documentaire.
Nous tenons à souligner que la Commission d'éthique est complètement indépendante de l'IAAF et a tout pouvoir pour enquêter et émettre des sanctions lorsque nécessaire.
Une transcription en anglais du documentaire allemand a été remise à la Commission d'éthique.
En ce qui concerne les autres questions soulevées dans le documentaire relatives à la lutte contre le dopage, elles ne relèvent pas de la Commission d'éthique et seront étudiées et traitées en interne avec le plus grand soin, en pleine coopération avec l'AMA.
