The 22nd Congress of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) was held from 15 to 18 April 2011 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, with 48 out of the 53 IAAF Member Federations represented.
During the Congress, Hamad Kalkaba Malboum of Cameroon was unanimously re-elected for a third mandate as President of the CAA.
Congress also agreed a motion of gratitude to IAAF President Lamine Diack and support for a new mandate of office to be granted to him when elections are held during the next IAAF Congress in Daegu, Korea this August.
On behalf of the IAAF, President Diack presented an IAAF Plaque of honour to Hamad Kalkaba Malboum (photo).

Hamad Kalkaba Malboum reconduit à la présidence de la CAA
Le 22e Congrès de la Confédération africaine d'athlétisme (CAA) s'est tenu du 15 au 18 avril 2011 à Yaoundé, au Cameroun, en présence de 48 des 53 Fédérations membres de la CAA.
Au cours du Congrès, le Camerounais Hamad Kalkaba Malboum a été réélu à l'unanimité pour un troisième mandat de Président de la CAA.
Le Congrès a également adressé une motion de gratitude au Président de l'IAAF, et confirmé qu'il le soutiendrait lors des élections pour la présidence, qui se tiennent dans le cadre du prochain Congrès de l'IAAF à Daegu, en Corée, au mois d'août.
Le Président Diack a ensuite remis la Plaque du mérite de l'IAAF à Hamad Kalkaba Malboum.
