Donetsk, Ukraine - The first IAAF/Nestlé Kids’ Athletics Lecturers Course was launched in Donetsk, Ukraine, from 9-12 February, with 22 participating coaches and physical education teachers - among them Iryna Lishchynska, the Olympic silver medallist in the 1500m in Beijing - representing all the Ukrainian regions.
The three-day course comprised theory, practical sessions and workshops. The participants had been actively involved in the course and the organisation of the Kids’ Athletics competition.
IAAF Vice President Sergey Bubka paid a visit to the participants and attended the Kids’ Athletics competition accompanied by the Nestlé Local representative. He delivered an inspiring speech to the kids and autographed all the Kids’ Certificates. As usual, at the end of the competition, every kid received his certificate and a kit of gifts offered by Nestlé.
The course was successfully conducted by Malek El Hebil, an IAAF Senior Manager and one of the developers of the "IAAF Kids’ & School and Youth Programme". All the participants committed to organise a local course in their respective regions.

Le premier stage pour conférenciers IAAF/Nestlé Kids' Athletics organisé en Ukraine
Donetsk, Ukraine – Le premier stage pour conférenciers IAAF/Nestlé Kids' Athletics organisé en Ukraine s'est déroulé à Donetsk, du 9 au 12 février. Les 22 stagiaires, des entraîneurs et des professeurs d'éducation physique – dont Iryna Lishchynska, médaillée d'argent olympique du 1500m à Pékin – étaient issus de toutes les régions de l'Ukraine.
Ce stage de trois jours offrait des séances pratiques et théoriques, ainsi que des ateliers de travail. Tous les participants ont pris une part active au stage ainsi qu'à l'organisation d'une compétition de Kids' Athletics.
Le Vice-Président de l'IAAF Sergey Bubka a rendu visite aux participants et assisté à la compétition de Kids' Athletics en compagnie du représentant local de Nestlé. M. Bubka a prononcé un discours très motivant pour les enfants et a apposé sa signature sur chacun de leurs certificats de participation. Chaque enfant a reçu, en plus du certificat, plusieurs cadeaux souvenirs offerts par Nestlé.
Le stage, qui a connu un franc succès, était dirigé par Malek El Hebil, un cadre supérieur de l'IAAF et un des développeurs du programme Enfants / Écoles de l'IAAF. Chacun des participants s'est engagé, au terme des quatre jours, à mettre sur pied un stage dans sa région propre.
